Step 1: Measure your kava powder
Scoop your desired amount of traditional kava powder (typically 2-4 tablespoons per serving) into the strainer bag.

Step 2: Add warm water
Pour warm (not boiling) water over the kava powder in the bag.

Step 3: Knead and squeeze
Close the strainer bag and immerse it in a large bowl. Knead and squeeze the bag for about 5-10 minutes to release the kavalactones from the powder.

Step 4: Strain and serve
Once the liquid turns a milky brown colour, squeeze out the remaining liquid from the bag into the bowl. Your kava drink is now ready to enjoy.
