First Kava experience.

I’m having difficulty finding out what mixture will give me this feeling of calmness and easing of anxiety. I’m not keen on mixing fizzy drinks with it because of the sugar or sugar substitute. I’m hoping to get it right because the cost is quite substantial.
Basically I get the light tingling in my tongue and lips and thats it.

It’s very bland.. I remember it from Fiji

There was an initial feeling of anaesthesia but that lasted a minute or so. No other sensation at all. Will try again but not confident…

Surprisingly pleasant 'earthy / grounding' taste!

First 'FijiKava week' spent experimenting with different times of day (mid-morning to lunchtime seems to work best) and amounts (2 x heaped large teaspoons in one 300ml drink is good) and liquids (water okay - and gives the most noticeable 'buzz' - but 'neutral' carbonated mixers [e.g. no-sugar blood orange or Tahitian Lime] are very good). Overall, very impressed with initial FijiKava experiences.

older Aussien tried the kava claim and yess it does relax you very quickly . Compared to aussie beer its equal but much quicker effect however it also wares off very quickly compared to beer. On the negative side it has a very bad tatse until i found the right mixer for me- water was no good as it tasted like muddy water and after a lot of experimentation i found a lemon faloured mixture with water took away the unpleasant taste and made it very enjoyable.
